About the role
We’re searching for an energetic Long-Term Insurance Field Sales Consultant with solid sales background in long- or short-term insurance.
As a key sales representative within the worksite channel, you’ll play an active role in introducing our product to employees at their place of work. You will be responsible for identifying prospects, delivering impactful sales engagements, and following through to policy activation and retention.
What you'll be doing
Your primary focus will be to drive sales of our Family Cover product via stop-order. Your duties will include:
- Engage face-to-face with employees at various worksites
- Promote and sell Simply’s Family Cover to individuals
- Generate your own leads and convert them into active clients
- Conduct on-site presentations and one-on-one consultations
- Process applications digitally using a tablet or laptop Meet and exceed weekly/monthly sales targets
- Monitor policy activation (first premium paid) and persistency
What we're looking for
Experience and qualifications
- Matric certificate
- RE5
- Minimum 2-years insurance sales experience
- Proven track record in consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Experience with Persal and stop order facilities is ideal
Sales and tech skills
- Comfortable using a tablet or laptop to process sales digitally
- Communication and writing
- Confidence in presenting
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Good fluency in English
Work style

- Self-motivated, team player with integrity, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach
- Mobile and willing to travel
- Must be based in Cape Town
Must Have
- Matric and RE5
- Completed/Completing FSCA recognized qualification in line with DOFA
- + 2 years insurance sales experience
- Track record of exceeding sales targets
- Based in Cape Town
- Access to private/public transport i.e. be easily mobile
Nice to Have
- Experience in Persal/Stop order facilities
- Additional languages
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
